Sioux Falls Jazz and Blues will celebrate its 20th year of JazzFest on July 14, 15 and 16 at Yankton Trail Park in Sioux Falls, SD.
The Sioux Falls Jazz & Blues Festival – JazzFest has averaged over 86,000 attendees and has been named one of the top 3 area economic stimulators due the many who return each year to enjoy the beautiful summer weather and great music!
JazzFest 2011 will once again feature a 3rd day of music on Thursday July 14, as well as the first annual JazzFest Jazz Camp July 12-16 and 5K Race and Fun Walk on Saturday July 16 at 8am.
Festival admission information:
- JazzFest remains a free event with donations accepted at the gate.
- There will be a $10 parking fee for this year’s festival inside Yankton Trail Park.
- No outside food or beverage will be allowed inside grounds as JazzFest is a fundraiser for Sioux Falls Jazz & Blues and proceeds for the festival are raised through beverage and food sales.
South Dakota Public Broadcasting will be at the festival from the first note to the last, taping for The Best of JazzFest 2011.

The Sanford Children’s JazzQuest will feature family friendly musical performances from main stage headliner and Zydeco master Terrance Simien with his “Creole For Kidz” program as well as other arts activities and games.
The Midcontinent Communications Big Screen will give all attendees a bird’s-eye view of the happenings on the main stage with these excellent artists:
The gutsy and diverse sounds of Fabulous Thunderbirds, Funky Meters and Little Feat, local roots music from Indigenous, eclectic jazz from Jeff Lorber Fusion, Zydeco and Cuban sounds from Terrance Simien and the Zydeco Experience and Maraca & Afro-Cuban Jazz Masters, hip young blues from Sharon Little and Anders Osborne, local jazz stylings from Mike Miller Trio and Elisabeth Hunstad and So What! and for the very first time, the JazzFest Jazz Camp with Guest Artist Allen Vizzutti will showcase a week of hard work on the main stage.
Second stage will feature local and regional talent and will be announced later this month.
