The 25th Celebration of JazzFest takes place on July 14-16 at Yankton Trail Park in Sioux Falls, SD.
“For the past 25 years, Sioux Falls Jazz & Blues has been providing free concerts each summer for the community, region and country. We are proud our event has been recognized nationally for its level of professionalism, volunteerism and quality. This year, we looked at bringing some past JazzFest performers back to our stage for a special encore, as well as look to new bands and new music. We hope audiences enjoy JazzFest 25 and become our supporters for the next quarter of a century. “ says Executive Director Robert Joyce.

In addition to The Fray, Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band, and Bruce Hornsby & the Noisemakers, Sioux Falls Jazz and Blues is very excited about the rest of the 2016 Main Stage Lineup for JazzFest. Joyce said, “Since 1988, the Sioux Falls Jazz & Blues Society has organized this festival from a small backyard party into one of the major events of the summer for the entire region. We are excited to share this milestone with the city and region and want to thank our supporters who have helped to sustain the festival for a quarter of a century.” He continued, “The fact that there are young adults in Sioux Falls that grew up with JazzFest–who never knew a time when there wasn’t a summer festival like JazzFest is pretty amazing—and we hope the young people who attend JazzFest today, become the supporters, sponsors and stakeholders in the organization tomorrow. Let’s celebrate JazzFest 25 and turn our thoughts to the next twenty-five years of music, sunshine and fun!”
